The Cyanide & Happiness Show is back for its third season and its first episode, "Now That's What I Call Pain," is as hilarious and irreverent as ever. In this episode, viewers are treated to a series of sketches that revolve around the theme of pain, both physical and emotional. From ill-advised attempts at DIY home surgery to an ill-fated game of chicken between two drivers on the highway, this episode is filled with cringe-worthy moments that will make you laugh out loud.

As always, the animation in this episode is top-notch. The characters are boldly drawn and their movements are fluid and expressive. The use of color is particularly effective in conveying the mood of each segment. For example, in the opening sketch, colors are muted and gray-toned to reflect the character's sense of hopelessness and despair.

The voice acting is also superb. The cast of regulars, including Rob DenBleyker, Kris Wilson, and Dave McElfatrick, deliver their lines with perfect comedic timing. The guest stars are equally impressive, with standout performances from comedians like Kumail Nanjiani and Patton Oswalt.

One of the most memorable sketches in the episode is called "Pain Olympics." In this segment, three characters compete to see who can endure the most physical pain. Each round is more gruesome than the last, as they subject themselves to increasingly brutal forms of torture. The humor here is in how absurd the whole concept is, and how far these characters are willing to go to win.

Another standout sketch is "The Price of Admission." In this segment, a man is trapped in a movie theater with a group of unruly teenagers who refuse to let him leave. As the situation escalates, the man resorts to increasingly extreme measures to get out of there. The humor in this sketch comes from the man's unwavering determination to escape, no matter the cost.

Overall, "Now That's What I Call Pain" is an excellent start to the third season of The Cyanide & Happiness Show. The sketches are consistently funny, the animation is top-notch, and the voice acting is superb. Fans of the show will not be disappointed, and newcomers will find plenty to enjoy as well. Whether you're in the mood for dark humor, slapstick comedy, or a bit of both, this episode has something for everyone.
