The Driver is a British television drama series that premiered on BBC One in 2014. The show is created by Danny Brocklehurst and stars actors like Andrew Tiernan, Chris Coghill, Claudie Blakley, Colm Meaney, Darren Morfitt, David Morrissey, Harish Patel, Ian Hart, Lewis Rainer, and Sacha Parkinson.

The Driver follows the story of a taxi driver named Vince McKee (played by David Morrissey) who, after an argument with his wife Ros (played by Claudie Blakley), becomes a driver for a criminal gang led by The Horse (played by Colm Meaney). Vince thinks it will be a quick way to make some money to fix his marital issues, but things quickly spiral out of control as he gets drawn deeper into the criminal underworld.

As the title suggests, Vince is not the only driver in the show. Andrew Tiernan plays Darren, a former soldier turned taxi driver who becomes Vince's partner in crime. Darren is a tough, no-nonsense kind of guy who is willing to do whatever it takes to protect himself and the people he cares about.

Chris Coghill plays Woodsy, another one of Vince's criminal associates who has a drug problem that causes trouble for the gang. Claudie Blakley's Ros is Vince's estranged wife who works as a hairdresser and has her own secrets to hide. Colm Meaney's The Horse is the head of the criminal organization and a ruthless figure who does not tolerate failure.

Darren Morfitt plays Mickey, a member of the gang who has a history with Darren and becomes a thorn in his side. Harish Patel's Amjad is another taxi driver who gets caught up in the criminal activities, and Ian Hart plays Colin, a police detective who becomes suspicious of Vince's sudden wealth.

Lewis Rainer's Tim McKee is Vince's teenage son who is trying to come to terms with his parents' separation, and Sacha Parkinson's Katie is a young woman who gets involved with Darren and becomes an unexpected ally.

The Driver is a gritty, intense drama that explores the lengths people will go to in order to provide for their families and protect the ones they love. It also examines the consequences of getting involved with dangerous people and the toll it can take on one's personal and professional life.

Overall, The Driver is an engaging and well-acted series that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. With a talented cast and a gripping storyline, it is a must-watch for fans of crime dramas.
