Ep 7. A Royal Mess

The Family Chantel season 2 episode 7 is titled A Royal Mess. This episode sees the family members dealing with the aftermath of the explosive argument between Pedro and River. With tensions still high, the family has to come together to support Chantel as she prepares to travel to the Dominican Republic to meet her sister-in-law's family. Meanwhile, Pedro's sister, Nicole, is still upset with Chantel's family over the fight, and she confronts Chantel's mother, Karen, while they are both at a bridal shop for a fitting. Things quickly escalate between the two women, and Karen storms out of the store. This leaves Nicole feeling even more alienated from Chantel's family, and she fears that her relationship with Pedro will suffer as a result.

Back in the Dominican Republic, Chantel and her friend, Obed, arrive at the hotel where they are staying. Chantel is excited to meet her sister-in-law's family, but she is surprised to find out that they are not as receptive to her as she had hoped. The family members are still angry about the fight between Pedro and River, and they are hesitant to welcome Chantel into their home.

Despite the tension, Chantel remains optimistic and sets out to prove to Pedro's family that she is a good person and that she cares about their son/brother. She spends time with Pedro's young niece, baking cookies and playing games, in an effort to bond with her. Pedro's mother, Lidia, also spends some time with Chantel, and they talk about their families and their hopes for the future.

As the day of the meet and greet approaches, Chantel becomes increasingly nervous. She wants everything to go smoothly, but she knows that there is still a lot of residual anger and resentment between the two families. When the time finally comes for the families to meet, tensions are high, and there are some uncomfortable moments. But Chantel remains calm and tries to keep things positive. She gets to know Pedro's family members, and they slowly start to warm up to her.

In the end, Chantel's trip to the Dominican Republic is a success. She is able to form a bond with Pedro's family, and she is optimistic about the future of their relationship. However, the drama between Nicole and Karen is far from over, and it remains to be seen how the two women will reconcile their differences.
