In this episode of The Flintstones, Fred and Barney join their sons, Bamm-Bamm and Pebbles, in their camping trip with the Bedrock Boy Scouts. However, when the Scoutmaster gets injured and Fred is asked to take over, things go awry.

Feeling the pressure to impress the other parents and prove himself to be a good scout leader, Fred becomes overly competitive and pushes the scouts too hard. He makes them hike for miles, swim in a freezing cold lake, and even builds an obstacle course that is too dangerous. As a result, the scouts start to rebel against him and plan to escape from the campsite.

Meanwhile, back in Bedrock, Wilma and Betty decide to take matters into their own hands and find an activity they can enjoy together. After trying out several options, they finally settle on learning how to play the drums.

As the episode progresses, Fred realizes his mistakes and tries to make amends with the scouts. He apologizes for his behavior and promises to listen to their ideas and make the camping trip more enjoyable for everyone. He also enlists the help of the scouts to build a new, safer obstacle course.

In the end, the scouts forgive Fred and together they have a lot of fun completing the new obstacle course. Wilma and Betty also surprise their husbands by performing a drum solo, which they have been practicing all weekend.
