The 48th annual event at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Mariah Carey, John Legend and Kanye West lead all nominees with eight nods each and all three are scheduled to perform. Carey and West are up for album of the year along with Paul McCartney, Gwen Stefani and U2. Following with six nominations are 50 Cent, Beyoncé Knowles and Stevie Wonder.
