The Jeffersons season 5 episode 23, titled "Louise's Convention," follows the Jefferson family as they attend a business convention in Atlantic City. Louise, played by Isabel Sanford, is thrilled to have the opportunity to attend the convention, which she hopes will help her expand her dry cleaning business.

Upon arriving at the conference, Louise is disappointed to find that her booth is located in a less-than-ideal location, away from the other vendors. Jefferson, played by Sherman Hemsley, tries to help his wife by using his charm to move their booth to a better location, but his efforts are unsuccessful.

Meanwhile, Tom Willis, played by Franklin Cover, and his wife Helen, played by Roxie Roker, are also in attendance at the convention. Tom is representing his company, while Helen is there to enjoy a few days of relaxation. When Tom sees that Louise is struggling with her booth, he offers to help her out by allowing her to use his company's booth, which has prime real estate at the convention.

Louise accepts Tom's offer and is grateful for his kindness. However, when Jefferson sees his wife in the Willis' booth, he becomes jealous and accuses Louise of flirting with Tom. This leads to a heated argument that threatens to ruin their entire trip.

The tension between the couple continues to escalate as they attend various events at the convention. At a cocktail party, Jefferson accuses Louise of being too friendly with the other vendors, further fueling his jealousy. Louise is hurt by her husband's accusations and decides to leave the party early.

While alone in her hotel room, Louise reflects on her marriage and realizes that she and Jefferson have been drifting apart. She begins to worry that they may never be able to resolve their issues and wonders if their marriage is over.

The next day, Louise is surprised when Jefferson shows up at her booth, apologizing for his behavior and promising to be more supportive in the future. He even offers to help her run the booth for the remainder of the convention. Louise accepts his apology and the two make up, realizing that they still love each other and are willing to work through their problems.

The episode ends with the Jeffersons returning home from the convention, with Louise feeling more confident in her business and her marriage, and Jefferson vowing to be a better partner to his wife. "Louise's Convention" is a heartwarming episode that showcases the ups and downs of a long-term marriage, and the importance of communication and support in any relationship.
