Ep 3. Winter Is Coming

As winter approaches, The Last Alaskans must prepare for the harsh conditions that lie ahead. In episode 3 of season 1, titled "Winter Is Coming," we follow the four families remaining in the refuge as they continue to build and stockpile their supplies.

Heimo and Edna Korth, who have lived off the land for over 30 years, begin to fortify their cabin and set traps for food. Meanwhile, Bob Harte works diligently to prepare his cabin for the cold months, cutting and stacking wood for his stove.

Tyler and Ashley Selden, with their newborn daughter, are still struggling to build their cabin in time for winter. They enlist the help of Tyler's father, who flies in from Fairbanks, to assist with their construction.

The Fords, who are new to the refuge, gather their first kill of the season as they hunt for moose to provide them with meat throughout the winter.

As the snow begins to fall, the Last Alaskans face their toughest challenge yet as they work against the clock to ensure their survival in the remote wilderness. Through their sheer determination and resilience, they continue to thrive in the face of adversity.

Episode 3 of season 1 serves as a reminder of the challenges that come with living off the grid, and highlights the importance of preparation and resourcefulness in order to survive in the unforgiving Alaskan wilderness.
