The Night Shift Season 1 Episode 4 Grace Under Fire

Amidst the chaos of the emergency room, the team of doctors and nurses at San Antonio Memorial Hospital face their toughest challenges yet in season 1 episode 4 of The Night Shift, titled "Grace Under Fire."

The episode kicks off with a car accident that brings in a mother and her son, the latter of whom is gravely injured. Dr. TC Callahan (Eoin Macken) takes charge of the situation, but soon realizes that the boy's health is more precarious than he initially thought. Meanwhile, Dr. Jordan Alexander (Jill Flint) tries to keep the boy's mother calm and focused on her son's recovery.

As the team works to save the boy's life, they face a series of obstacles, including a power outage that threatens to shut down the hospital's life-saving equipment. To make matters worse, a nearby prison break puts the hospital on lockdown, leaving the staff unable to bring in additional supplies and personnel.

In the midst of the chaos, Dr. Paul Cummings (Robert Bailey Jr.) struggles with his own personal demons as he works to save a fellow veteran who is suffering from PTSD. Dr. Topher Zia (Ken Leung) tries to help him through it, but the situation only becomes more complicated when they discover that the veteran has a firearms permit.

Throughout it all, the staff of San Antonio Memorial Hospital must band together in order to keep their patients alive and work through their own personal challenges. But as the episode draws to a close, it becomes clear that they will have to keep fighting - and finding grace under fire - if they want to survive the long, grueling nights ahead.
