The Office season 7 episode 10 titled "China" takes place during the Christmas season. The episode starts with Jim and Dwight trying out a new prank. While the prank starts off well, it quickly spirals out of control and takes a turn for the worse. Meanwhile, Michael and Andy try to drum up sales for Dunder Mifflin, and they decide to make a documentary-style commercial showcasing the paper company's global reach. They plan to use the office staff in the commercial, which prompts mixed reactions.

Pam, who already has doubts about her future as a salesperson, is especially hesitant about participating in the commercial. Michael, however, insists that they need to show off the company's global scale by including all of the sales staff, including Pam. This prompts Pam to reach out to Jim for support, and a touching moment between the two takes place.

While preparations for the commercial are underway, Oscar is given a special project. He is tasked with helping the Senator on his campaign, and he takes it very seriously. During his work on the campaign, he starts to develop feelings for the Senator, which causes him to question his sexuality.

Back at the office, Erin and Gabe continue to develop their relationship, despite Andy's obvious crush on Erin. Erin is clearly struggling with choosing between the two men, but Gabe is determined to win her over.

The episode also features a visit from some special guests. Michael's former love interest, Holly, and her boyfriend, AJ, come to Dunder Mifflin Scranton to pick up some supplies for their own branch. The arrival of Holly prompts tension between Michael and the office staff, leading to an awkward moment between Holly and Dwight.

As the commercial shoot gets underway, things start to go wrong left and right. From wardrobe malfunctions to forgotten lines, the shoot is a disaster. Despite all of the setbacks, Michael presses on and finishes the commercial. The final product is a mess, but Michael is nonetheless proud of it. Meanwhile, Pam makes a big decision about her future at Dunder Mifflin, and Andy finally gets the opportunity to tell Erin how he really feels.

Overall, "China" is a heartwarming and humorous holiday episode that features a lot of character development and growth. The various storylines are woven together seamlessly, and there are plenty of laughs along the way. The episode ends with a surprise twist that sets the stage for future episodes, making it a must-watch for fans of The Office.
