  • September 18, 2019

Steve Wilkos, former security guard for The Jerry Springer Show, returns for another thrilling season of his eponymous talk show. In this episode, titled "Online Drama Creates DNA Doubt," things get heated as Steve helps guests get to the bottom of a contentious paternity dispute.

The episode opens with Steve introducing his first guest, a young woman named Danielle, who has come onto the show to prove that a man named Alex is the biological father of her child. Danielle tells Steve that she met Alex online and they hit it off right away. They had a brief fling, but Alex disappeared shortly after Danielle told him she was pregnant. Despite Alex's denial of paternity, Danielle is convinced that he is the father of her child. However, when the DNA test results come back, Danielle's world is rocked.

The results show that Alex is indeed not the father of Danielle's child. The revelation causes Alex to angrily storm off the stage, leaving Danielle in tears. Steve consoles her, telling her that he understands how tough it is to be a single mom, but urges her to stay strong for her child. Danielle tells Steve that she doesn't know what to do, but Steve encourages her to lean on her friends and family for support.

Next up on the show is a couple, Sarah and Mike, who are having doubts about their relationship after a Facebook post from someone claiming to be Mike's ex resurfaces. The post alleges that Mike cheated on Sarah while they were together, but Mike vehemently denies the accusation. Sarah says that the allegations have been eating away at her and she just wants to know the truth.

Steve brings out the alleged ex-girlfriend, who is revealed to be a woman named Laura. Laura insists that she and Mike were together while he was still dating Sarah and that he cheated on Sarah with her. However, when Steve presses Laura for proof, she admits that she only started an online rumor because she was jealous of Sarah and wanted to break them up. Mike is visibly upset by the allegations and Sarah is left wondering what to believe.

Steve brings out a DNA expert to help solve the mystery of whether Mike cheated on Sarah or not. The results show that while Mike did have a sexual encounter with Laura during the time he was supposedly dating Sarah, there is not enough evidence to conclude that he cheated on her. Sarah is relieved by the news, but Mike is still hurt and angry by the rumors.

The final guests of the episode are two women, Samantha and Joanna, who are best friends but have been arguing over which of their exes is the father of Samantha's child. Samantha is dating a man named Michael, but Joanna is convinced that Samantha's ex-boyfriend, Mark, is the real father of the child. The two women have been fighting about this for months and tensions are running high.

Steve attempts to get to the bottom of the dispute by bringing out both Michael and Mark. Things quickly escalate when Mark accuses Samantha of cheating on him during their relationship. Samantha denies the allegation and things devolve into a shouting match between the four guests.

Steve tries to calm everyone down and refocuses on the paternity issue. He brings out a DNA expert, but the results show inconclusive. Steve urges the two women to get a more definitive test done to finally put the issue to rest. The episode ends with Samantha and Joanna still at odds, but hopefully on their way to getting some closure.

"Online Drama Creates DNA Doubt" is a dramatic and emotional episode of The Steve Wilkos Show that highlights the destructive power of online rumors and the importance of seeking the truth.
