Ep 2. Frankie and Emily

  •   (8)

Frankie and Emily are two lovable dogs who have come to the clinic seeking help from the Supervet team. As the episode begins, we learn that Frankie, a five-year-old French bulldog, has been experiencing severe breathing difficulties for a while. His owners are worried about him and have brought him to the clinic in hopes of finding a solution to his problem.

Upon examination, the team discovers that Frankie's palate is too long and is obstructing his airway. The Supervet, Dr. Noel Fitzpatrick, determines that Frankie needs surgery to correct the problem. He explains to Frankie's owners that this is a delicate procedure that requires precision and skill. The operation involves trimming the excess tissue from Frankie's palate, which will allow him to breathe more easily.

Dr. Fitzpatrick performs the surgery successfully, but Frankie's recovery is slow and complicated. He experiences complications due to swelling, which causes him to have trouble breathing again. The team closely monitors him, and after several days, Frankie finally starts to show signs of improvement.

Meanwhile, another dog, Emily, has come to the clinic with her owners. Emily is a nine-month-old Great Dane puppy who has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia. Her owners are devastated to learn that she will need major surgery to correct the problem. They are worried about both the surgery and the long road to recovery that lies ahead.

Dr. Fitzpatrick explains to Emily's owners that he will need to perform a double pelvic osteotomy, a complex and risky operation that involves cutting and repositioning the bones in Emily's hips. He warns them that the outcome is uncertain and that Emily's recovery will be challenging.

The operation is successful, but Emily's recovery is anything but easy. She experiences a lot of pain and discomfort and needs assistance with even the most basic tasks, such as walking and going to the bathroom. Her owners are patient and loving, however, and they work closely with the Supervet team to ensure that she gets the best possible care.

Throughout the episode, we see the lengths to which Dr. Fitzpatrick and his team go to help these dogs. We see the challenges they face, the setbacks, and the triumphs. We witness the incredible bond between these dogs and their owners, and we are reminded of the power of love and determination in the face of adversity.

Overall, Frankie and Emily are two unforgettable patients whose stories will tug at your heartstrings and leave you rooting for them. This episode reminds us of the incredible resilience of animals and the incredible work of the Supervet team. If you love animals and are inspired by stories of hope and healing, this is an episode you won't want to miss.
