In episode 2 of The Vet Life season 5 titled "Cat vs. Robot", viewers are taken on a journey through the lives of three veterinarians, Dr. Diarra Blue, Dr. Aubrey Ross and Dr. Michael Lavigne, as they work to provide the best care for their animal patients.
The episode begins with Dr. Diarra Blue, who is called to help a family's cat who seems to be in distress. Upon arrival, Dr. Blue discovers that the family has recently gotten a new vacuum robot, and it seems that the cat has developed a fear of the device. The cat refuses to come down from its hiding place and is panting and drooling. Dr. Blue works to calm the cat down and determine the best course of action to take in order to make the kitty feel more secure in its home.
Meanwhile, Dr. Aubrey Ross is at the clinic tending to a French bulldog named Bobo who is in need of a checkup. Bobo is a very nervous and skittish dog, which makes it difficult for Dr. Ross to examine him. With the help of her veterinary team, Dr. Ross takes her time to ensure that Bobo is relaxed and comfortable while she performs her examination.
Dr. Michael Lavigne is called to a farm to assist with the delivery of a calf. The farmer is having trouble with the birth, and Dr. Lavigne must use his skills to determine the best way to deliver the calf safely. With the assistance of the farmer and his team, Dr. Lavigne is able to deliver a healthy calf.
Back at the family home, Dr. Blue determines that the cat will need time to adjust to the new vacuum. She provides the family with tips on how to help the cat overcome its fear of the robot device, and in the end, the cat seems to be much more relaxed and comfortable in its home.
Dr. Ross completes Bobo's examination and determines that he is in good health. She provides the owner with tips on how to help Bobo overcome his nervousness and advises them to work with him to help him feel more secure.
Dr. Lavigne successfully delivers the calf and provides the farmer with instructions on how to care for both the mother and the baby after birth.

They work tirelessly to ensure that each animal receives the care and attention it needs to lead a healthy and happy life.
