As the episode begins, Victoria and Billy rally the troops at Jabot in an effort to get information on Ashland's health. However, they hit a roadblock when they learn that he's keeping his medical records under lock and key. Meanwhile, Nick and Phyllis continue to investigate Tara's background, convinced that she's hiding something. They enlist Kyle's help, but he's hesitant to get involved.

At Chancellor Communications, Mariah deals with the stress of the pregnancy and her strained relationship with Tessa. She confides in Abby, who offers her support and encouragement. Later, Tessa surprises Mariah with a romantic gesture, but their reconciliation is interrupted by a call from Dr. Cavett.

Back at Jabot, Victoria and Billy get a lead on Ashland's health and follow it up. However, their investigation is cut short when they receive an urgent message from Harrison's nanny. They rush to the park, where they find Harrison alone and scared.
