Those Who Kill is a fictional television show focused around the life of Catherine Jensen. Jensen, who is portrayed by Chloe Sevigny, is a homicide detective. Unlike other detectives on her force, she is not seasoned in homicide work. In fact, she has just recently acquired the position. Because of Jensen's lack of experience, she works alongside forensic psychologist Thomas Schaeffer. Mostly, the duo try to find serial killers and solve cases related to their murders.

Acting as back-story is the fact that Jensen's brother disappeared some years ago. No one knows of the truth or the reasons behind his disappearance or if he is even alive, and Jensen's character is spurred on and motivated in her job by anger over what happened to him and a desire to one day learn the truth.

Those Who Kill is considered a drama and follows an hour long format. Each script is designed to be intense, and the subject matter is dark. Some scenes can also be somewhat gruesome, so the show is recommended for an older or mature audience. Most episodes end with a slight cliffhanger, and each episode features unique and unexpected twists designed for maximum suspense, creating a show designed for suspense both during and after viewing.
