Tokyo Mew Mew Season 1 Episode 16 Lettuce's Love, Earnest Feelings at the Library

Lettuce's love is put to the test in episode 16 of Tokyo Mew Mew. The mew mews are still on the hunt for the remaining chimera animas, but things take a turn when Lettuce receives a love letter in her locker from a mysterious admirer.

Despite her initial hesitation, Lettuce decides to go to the library to meet her secret admirer. There, she finds a note leading her to a hidden room in the library, where she runs into someone unexpected - the school's star athlete, Shirogane Ryou. Ryou confesses his feelings to Lettuce, and tells her that he is the one who wrote the love letter.

Lettuce is overjoyed at Ryou's confession, but things quickly turn sour when Ryou drops a bombshell - he needs Lettuce to use her mew mew powers to help him capture a chimera anima that has been spotted in the library. Lettuce is torn between her duty as a mew mew and her feelings for Ryou, and she struggles to make a decision.

Meanwhile, the other mew mews are hot on the trail of the chimera anima, and they realize that it is much more dangerous than they originally thought. The anima has the ability to control books, and it summons a horde of flying books to attack the mew mews.

Lettuce finally decides to help Ryou, and the two of them work together to defeat the chimera anima. However, their victory is short-lived - once the anima is defeated, Ryou reveals that he cannot be with Lettuce because of his duty to protect the mew mews. Lettuce is heartbroken, but she knows that Ryou is doing what is best for everyone.

The episode ends with the mew mews reflecting on the events of the day. Although Lettuce is sad about her unrequited love, she knows that she made the right decision by helping to protect the city. She also realizes that the mew mews are not just a team - they are a family, and they will always be there to support each other.
