Tokyo Mew Mew Season 1 Episode 9 Dearest Brother, The Memory is in the Photograph
- June 1, 2002
The episode begins with Ichigo daydreaming about her two love interests, Masaya and Aoyama. Suddenly, she realizes she is late for a meeting with the other girls at Cafe Mew Mew. When she arrives, they inform her that they have received a mission to investigate a strange energy signal at a nearby park. The girls transform into their Mew Mew forms and head to the park.
Once they arrive, they realize that the energy signal is coming from a mysterious man who is taking photos of the park. They confront him, but he insists that he is harmless and just taking photos for his personal collection. The man introduces himself as Hiroto and reveals that he is actually Shirogane's younger brother.
Ichigo and the other girls are surprised to learn that Shirogane has a brother, as he had never mentioned him before. Hiroto explains that he had been traveling the world for several years, but had recently returned to Japan and was hoping to reconnect with his brother.
Despite their initial suspicions, the girls decide to give Hiroto the benefit of the doubt and allow him to join them on their mission. As they continue to investigate the energy signal, Ichigo notices that Hiroto seems to be struggling with something and she asks him if everything is okay.
Hiroto confides in Ichigo and explains that he and his brother had a falling out several years ago and had not spoken since. He reveals that he had always admired Shirogane and had looked up to him as a role model, but that something had happened to cause a rift in their relationship.
Ichigo offers a sympathetic ear and encourages Hiroto to try and repair his relationship with his brother. Hiroto is hesitant at first, but eventually agrees to follow her advice and try to reach out to Shirogane.
As they continue to investigate, the girls come across a strange creature that is causing havoc in the park. They quickly spring into action and defeat the creature, but not before it injures Hiroto.
After the battle, the girls take Hiroto back to Cafe Mew Mew to tend to his injuries. While there, he has a heartfelt conversation with Shirogane and the two brothers finally reconcile.
The episode ends on a heartwarming note, with Hiroto expressing his gratitude to Ichigo and the other girls for helping him to reconnect with his brother. The girls reflect on the importance of family and the power of forgiveness, and Ichigo realizes that sometimes the greatest battles can be fought with kindness and understanding.
