What is New York's Savior? is the tenth and final episode of season 1 of Watt's World, a travel documentary series hosted by journalist and adventurer, Nick Watt. In this episode, Nick explores the city that never sleeps, New York, and meets people who are trying to make the world a better place.

The episode begins with Nick meeting Chef Massimo Bottura, who is on a mission to tackle food waste in the world. Bottura has opened a soup kitchen in New York called Refettorio Gastromotiva, which uses food waste from local restaurants to create gourmet meals for the less fortunate. Nick helps in the kitchen, chopping vegetables and interacting with the guests, some of whom are homeless and struggling to get by.

Next, Nick heads to Brooklyn to meet the founders of Brooklyn Grange, a rooftop farm that grows fresh produce in the heart of the city. The founders explain how they are trying to make eating organic and locally sourced food accessible to everyone, regardless of their income. Nick is amazed by the sight of the farm, which covers over two and a half acres of space, and he helps with harvesting some of the vegetables.

Nick then meets with Matt Staebler, the founder of EcoLogic Solutions, a company that creates environmentally friendly cleaning products. Matt explains how most cleaning products on the market contain harmful chemicals that can be damaging to both our health and the environment. EcoLogic Solutions creates cleaning products that are safe to use, and Nick gets to see the manufacturing process first-hand.

The episode then takes a more serious turn as Nick meets with Jumaane Williams, the New York City Public Advocate, who is a vocal advocate for police reform and social justice. Williams talks about the high costs of incarceration and the difficulties of re-entry into society after being imprisoned. Nick accompanies Williams to a speaking engagement at Rikers Island, a notorious prison in New York, and listens to the powerful stories of some of the inmates.

Lastly, Nick visits a school in the Bronx that is using a unique approach to teach children about the importance of healthy eating. The school has a rooftop garden where the children help grow organic produce, and they also participate in cooking classes so they can learn how to prepare healthy meals. Nick helps the children make a salad using some of the vegetables they have grown, and he is impressed by their enthusiasm and knowledge.

Throughout the episode, Nick also provides insights into the history and culture of New York, showing off some of the city's most iconic landmarks and hidden gems. He talks about the city's food culture, its eclectic mix of neighborhoods, and the challenges that face the city today.

What is New York's Savior? is a thought-provoking and inspiring episode that showcases some of the positive things that are happening in a city that can sometimes be overwhelming and daunting. It reminds us that there are people out there who are trying to make a difference, and that even small actions can have a big impact on the world around us.
