  • Balki invites Mr. Gorpley to the Christmas Eve party.

  • Harry (HARRY ANDERSON) jails Roz (MARSHA WARFIELD) on Christmas Eve when she won't divulge the location of a truckload of toys mistakenly given to needy kids.

  • When Mama gets a Christmas present from her cousin, a live goose for Christmas dinner, memories of her childhood come back. The rest of the family is apalled at the thought of killing their new pet. But in the end, Mama can't kill the goose, and she prepares everyone a vegetarian holiday meal.

  • Jealous Mike follows Kate to a Jamaican shoot.

  • Rebecca is nostalgic for a Midwestern Christmas; Danny longs for his absentee girlfriend, Vicky; and D.J. is melancholy after arguing with Steve. All three resolve their problems in the Christmas spirit.

  • With the Walton children growing up, this may be the last Christmas that the entire family can spend together. The family plans a special celebration for Olivia, but a series of disasters keeps everyone away from home. Instead of becoming upset, Olivia feels proud of how her children respond to help her community when they are needed.

  • Merriment, mistletoe and menorahs are the beginnings of a Merry Christmas celebration with the Sweathogs and Gabe and Julie Kotter.

  • The Bradfords celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. Tommy receives a very special gift.

  • The Bradfords try to bolster their spirits for the holidays, since it's the first Christmas they'll be celebrating without Joan. To make matters worse, however, Nicholas mistakingly allows a man - who he believes is Santa - to steal the family's Christmas presents.

  • Flo (POLLY HOLLIDAY) winds up without a date for New Year's Eve so Mel (VIC TAYBACK) recruits her to work in the diner. When she blurts out over the telephone to a radio show that she's alone, she suddenly has more company than anyone could bargain for.
