Ep 7. Turkeys Away

It is Thanksgiving time and the WKRP team is looking to boost their ratings with a special promotion. Mr. Carlson, the station manager, comes up with a creative idea to give away turkeys as a promotional event. The plan is to drop live turkeys out of a helicopter onto a shopping center where they will be caught by eager shoppers.

Despite protests from the WKRP team, Mr. Carlson insists on going forward with this idea. As the promotion starts, it quickly becomes clear that this was a disastrous idea. The turkeys, released from the helicopter, plummet to the ground, injuring shoppers and causing chaos.

The station receives an onslaught of complaints from angry customers and the media quickly picks up on the story, making WKRP the laughing stock of the city. To make matters worse, Mr. Carlson's wife comes to the station, furious about the incident and causing Mr. Carlson to face the consequences of his poor decision-making.

Meanwhile, Les Nessman, one of the WKRP employees tasked with covering the event, provides a hilarious and absurd play-by-play of what is happening while the chaos unfolds. This episode serves as a harsh reminder that sometimes the most creative ideas can have disastrous consequences.
