Ep 2. A Freezing Spell

Zatch Bell season 1 episode 2, "A Freezing Spell," follows the continuing story of Zatch and his human partner, Kiyo. During their escape, they are aided by a man named Dr. Riddles, who explains to them the history of the Mamodo battle and how it has been going on for thousands of years.

As they continue on their journey, Zatch, Kiyo, and Kolulu encounter another Mamodo named Reycom and his partner, Hosokawa. Reycom challenges Zatch to a battle, but Zatch refuses to fight him. Instead, Kiyo stands up to Reycom and tells him that he refuses to fight because he does not believe in the violent nature of the battle.

The episode ends with Zatch, Kiyo, and Kolulu continuing their journey to find and free Mamodo from Zofis's control. Along the way, they will face many challenges and battles, but they are determined to put an end to the cycle of violence that has plagued the Mamodo battle for centuries.
