Rops has a powerful mamodo named Elzador, who proves to be more than a match for Zatch. However, Zatch's determination and his bond with Kiyo ultimately prevails, and they defeat Elzador and Rops.

In the end, Sherry, Koko, Kiyo, and Zatch reunite and say their goodbyes. Sherry and Koko decide to go back to their village, and Zatch and Kiyo continue their adventure to find the remaining mamodos and defeat the evil ones who threaten the mamodo world.
