Ep 19. I Heart Connecticut

Liz Lemon and Jack Donaghy get into a heated competition over one of the most prestigious awards in television, the Peabody Award. The show they produce, TGS with Tracy Jordan, has never won the award before, but they are determined to claim it this year.

Meanwhile, Jenna Maroney is thrilled to learn that her hometown in Connecticut is holding a festival in her honor, and she invites the TGS crew to come along. However, when they arrive in Connecticut, they quickly realize that Jenna’s hometown is much different than they expected.

Tracy Jordan becomes intrigued by the idea of owning an island, and begins looking into potential options. Kenneth Parcell offers to help him with his search, but things quickly spiral out of control when they encounter a group of eccentric island-dwellers.

As Liz and Jack continue their Peabody competition, they both resort to increasingly underhanded tactics to try to gain an advantage. However, their competitiveness takes a toll on their working relationship, and they soon must decide whether winning the award is worth sacrificing their friendship.

In the end, the TGS team returns to New York with a new appreciation for their home after their surreal experience in Jenna’s hometown. Tracy is forced to come to terms with the fact that owning an island may not be as glamorous as he thought it would be. And, with the Peabody deadline fast approaching, Liz and Jack must set aside their differences and work together to create the best TGS episode possible.
