Arang and the Magistrate is a 20-episode long South Korean television drama series, which follows the story of Arang, a young woman who was murdered and then became a ghost. Eun-oh is assigned to investigate the murders and quickly realizes that the killer has a pattern. He confides in his friend and mentor, Mu-young, who is a ghost. Mu-young tells him that the killer might be a vengeful ghost who seeks revenge for the wrongs done to her during her lifetime.

As Eun-oh delves deeper into the mystery, he discovers that the killer was a young woman named Yeon-hee, who was accused of stealing and falsely imprisoned. Yeon-hee died in prison, but her spirit couldn't rest as she was innocent and wanted to clear her name. Eun-oh and Arang team up to help Yeon-hee find the real culprit who framed her and get her revenge.

The search for the truth takes them to the villainous Lord Choi, who is behind many of the injustices committed against the villagers. Arang and Eun-oh confront him and reveal the truth about Yeon-hee's innocence. Lord Choi is humiliated and defeated, and Yeon-hee's spirit finds peace.

The episode ends on a bittersweet note as Arang accepts her fate as a ghost and decides to help others like Yeon-hee. Eun-oh realizes his feelings for Arang but can't do anything about them as she is dead.

Overall, episode 9 is a thrilling installment that moves the main plot forward while also introducing a new mystery. The show's blend of action, mystery, and romance keeps the viewers engaged, and the chemistry between the lead actors is palpable.
