In the second episode of Counting Cars season 1, titled Buggin' Out, the focus shifts to some of the more unique and unconventional vehicles that the crew at Count's Kustoms are tasked with restoring and customizing.

The episode opens with Danny "The Count" Koker and his team taking on a client who wants them to transform his 1970 Volkswagen Bug into a beach cruiser. The Bug's new owner, a surfer and artist from California, has very specific ideas about how he wants the car to look, including a custom surfboard rack, a new paint job, and a fully-functional bar in the backseat.

As the crew gets to work, they encounter a series of challenges that threaten to derail the project. The Bug's engine is in bad shape and needs to be completely rebuilt, which sets the team back in terms of time and budget. Additionally, the car's owner is extremely particular about every aspect of the build, which makes it difficult for the team to make progress. Despite these setbacks, the team is able to push through and ultimately deliver a truly unique beach cruiser that exceeds the owner's expectations.

The second half of the episode features another unconventional restoration project: a 1967 Ford Econoline van that was once used by a traveling rock band. The van's new owner, a musician and collector, wants the van restored to its former glory and customized with some modern amenities. The Count and his team set to work on the van, which is in rough shape and requires extensive bodywork.

Throughout the restoration process, the team faces numerous challenges, including a complicated paint job and the need to custom fabricate several parts that are no longer available. Along the way, the crew must also contend with the van's peculiar features, such as a trapdoor in the roof that was used for tossing out beer cans during concerts.

Despite these challenges, the team is able to deliver an amazing showcase piece, complete with a custom sound system and LED lighting. The van's owner is delighted with the final result, which perfectly captures the spirit of the 1960s rock n' roll lifestyle.

Overall, Buggin' Out is an exciting episode that showcases the versatility and creativity of the Count's Kustoms team. From transforming a classic Volkswagen Bug into a beach cruiser to customizing a vintage rock band van, the team proves that they are up to any challenge and can deliver stunning results no matter what the project.
