Ep 2. False Skorpion

Annie Walker, a former CIA operative, returns for the fifth season of Covert Affairs in False Skorpion. After experiencing some personal and professional setbacks, Annie finds herself pulled back into the world of espionage when she is sent on a mission to Prague.

The episode begins with Annie in a high-speed chase through the streets of the Czech Republic's capital, pursued by unknown assailants. She manages to escape but is left shaken by the encounter. Meanwhile, back in the United States, Annie's former boss, Joan, is dealing with the fallout of Annie's departure from the CIA. She is being investigated by a Senate committee and is under immense pressure to prove that she didn't have a hand in Annie's resignation. Joan turns to Calder, another former colleague, for help, but he has his own agenda.

As Annie and McQuaid get closer to finding Skorpion, they encounter a new set of enemies. A rogue Czech officer is hot on their trail, and it soon becomes clear that he is not working alone. Annie and McQuaid narrowly escape a deadly shootout and are forced to regroup.

Throughout the episode, Annie grapples with her conflicting emotions towards McQuaid. She is unsure if she can trust him, but at the same time, she can't deny her attraction to him. As they continue to work together, their chemistry intensifies, and it becomes clear that they have a deep bond.

In the climax of the episode, Annie and McQuaid finally come face-to-face with Skorpion. However, the meeting doesn't go as planned, and they find themselves in grave danger. Annie must rely on her training and instincts to save herself and those around her.
