Simultaneously, Mikado receives a mysterious email from a woman named Izaya Orihara, who claims to have information regarding the Slasher. Mikado, who is intrigued by the information, decides to meet her at a deserted location but is ambushed by a group of men who try to kidnap him. He escapes from the scene with the help of a mysterious woman named Celty, who is known as the Black Rider in Ikebukuro.
