Ep 19. Teach Me Tonight

Rory is worried about her future and her academic aspirations. She is feeling the pressure of her future at Harvard and is studying hard. Lorelai notices and tries to help her, but Rory brushes her off. Lorelai is growing increasingly worried and turns to Luke for advice. Meanwhile, Lorelai enjoys spending time with Max, her new beau. However, the situation is complicated because they work together at the same school and Rory is a student there. When Rory takes a late-night trip to the book store to pick up some supplies, she is involved in a car accident. The driver of the other car is Jess, Luke's nephew. Jess had been skipping school and had taken his car out for a joy ride. After the accident, Jess is not seriously hurt and assists Rory in getting the help she needs. Luke brings Jess back to town and is met with disapproval from the other townspeople due to his reputation as a troublemaker. Jess has to decide if he's going to turn his life around or continue down the same path. Meanwhile, Rory is still struggling to come to terms with the accident and the realization that her future may not be as straightforward as she thought.
