Kagome's Voice and Kikyo's Kiss is the twenty-third episode of the first season of the anime show, Inuyasha. The show is set in feudal Japan and follows the adventures of a half-demon named Inuyasha and a modern-day girl named Kagome, who is transported into the past through a magical well. In this episode, Kagome loses her voice due to a strange curse, and Inuyasha and his friends must find a way to break the curse before it's too late.

The episode begins with the group, including Inuyasha, Kagome, a demon slayer named Sango, a lecherous monk named Miroku, and a fox demon named Shippo, on their way to a village where a young girl has been possessed by a demon. When they arrive, they find that the demon has already been exorcised, but Kagome suddenly loses her voice and is unable to speak. The group is puzzled by the sudden onset of the curse, and Inuyasha suspects foul play.

As the group continues on their journey, Kagome's condition worsens, and she is unable to communicate with her friends. Meanwhile, Inuyasha is haunted by the memory of his former love, Kikyo, who died 50 years ago. He is conflicted about his feelings for Kagome and his memories of Kikyo, who was also a priestess and had the ability to purify demons. In a moment of weakness, Inuyasha visits Kikyo's shrine and is confronted by her spirit.

Kikyo's spirit reveals that she has been summoned by a witch named Urasue, who has the ability to manipulate the souls of the dead. Urasue has created a puppet made from Kikyo's bones and is using it to attack Inuyasha. Kikyo's spirit warns Inuyasha that Urasue is planning to use Kagome's soul to create a powerful demon that will be under her control. Inuyasha realizes that he must save Kagome before it's too late.

Inuyasha and his friends track down Urasue, who has also captured the possessed girl from the earlier village. Urasue reveals that she has taken Kagome's voice as part of her plan to create the demon. Inuyasha and his friends engage in a battle with Urasue and her minions, but they are outnumbered and outmatched. In a desperate move, Inuyasha calls on Kikyo's spirit for help.

Kikyo's spirit possesses Kagome's body, and she uses her priestess powers to purify Urasue's minions and destroy the puppet made from her bones. Kagome's voice is returned, and Inuyasha is grateful for Kikyo's help. However, he is still conflicted about his feelings for Kagome and Kikyo. Kagome assures Inuyasha that she is not jealous of his feelings for Kikyo and that she will always be there for him.

The episode ends with the group continuing on their journey, with Kagome's voice restored and Inuyasha's heart still torn between the past and the present. Overall, Kagome's Voice and Kikyo's Kiss is a dramatic and action-packed episode that explores themes of love, loyalty, and the consequences of messing with the powers of the dead.
