Just Shoot Me Season 1 Episode 3 Secretary's Day

Maya Gallo, a journalist, working at the Blush Magazine, hasn't been fair to her boss Jack Gallo as she has portrayed him in a bad light in her column. Meanwhile, Jack has forgotten about Secretary's Day until his assistant Nina van Horn reminds him of it. He asks the other employees to chip in and get something for Nina as a gift. Maya offers to help Nina buy a dress for the occasion, and while they are out shopping, Nina tells Maya about her history of being an executive secretary, which reveals how much she misses her old job.

Later, Maya's old friend, who is now working as a paparazzi photographer, gets her some photos of Jack being a nice person. Maya decides to write an article about this and her boss is elated. But when Maya reveals that Nina inspired the article, Jack gets annoyed and yells at her, leading to a heated argument between the two.

Meanwhile, Nina receives her gift from her colleagues, a crystal paperweight, and her appreciation for it earns her the position of the most liked employee in the office. When Jack learns about this, he hires Nina as his new executive assistant, replacing Maya.

As Maya leaves the office, she runs into Dennis, her old flame. Dennis has just returned from a trip to Europe for his work as a fashion photographer. He invites Maya out for drinks, but Maya hesitates, fearing that their reunion might not be as great as she had thought.

The episode ends with Jack apologizing to Maya for firing her and Maya telling him that she had already resigned. Maya then goes to meet Dennis, and after a moment of hesitation, she accepts his invitation to drinks, and the episode ends with them leaving the office together.
