Ep 7. Black Friday

In episode 7 of the second season of the TV show Lie to Me, entitled "Black Friday," the team is called in to investigate a deadly stampede that occurs during a Thanksgiving sales event. Cal Lightman (played by Tim Roth) and his colleagues are brought in to determine the cause of the tragedy and to identify who may have been responsible.

Additionally, they find evidence of a cover-up by the store's management team, who had deleted security footage that would have shown how poorly they prepared for the event.

Throughout the course of the episode, Cal and his team use their expertise in reading body language and microexpressions to hone in on the individuals who were responsible for the stampede. While the initial focus is on the department store's management team, they soon realize that it was a collective failure of multiple parties, including the police department and the city government, to properly plan and prepare for the event.

As the investigation progresses, tension mounts as members of the team come under threat and are pressured to back off their investigation. However, the team ultimately perseveres and is able to identify the key players responsible for the tragedy.

"Black Friday" is a gripping episode that highlights the real-life dangers of the consumer frenzy that has become synonymous with Thanksgiving sales events.
