The main character is an Australian psychiatrist living in the United states. The psychiatrists uses new age techniques to aide the patients under his care. Even though the techniques for assisting patients in progress works, it is not agreeable with his colleagues. The underlying motivation for his choice in profession is due to his sister who is mentally ill and has disappeared.
