Recovery Road is a FreeForm (formerly ABC Family) TV show that aired in 2016. Throughout the series, Maddie navigates the ups and downs of rehab life, including group therapy sessions, individual counseling, and the challenges of adjusting to living with strangers. Along the way, she forms a particular bond with her roommate, Trish, played by Kyla Pratt, who helps her gain confidence in herself and realize her true potential.

Her father, Alan, played by Doug Savant, and sister Emily, played by Caroline Sunshine, struggle with how to best support Maddie in her recovery, with Emily even starting to attend Al-Anon meetings to better understand how to help Maddie.

As Maddie progresses in her recovery, she faces temptations, setbacks, and moments of doubt, but ultimately learns how to confront her addiction and take control of her life. The show explores the complexities of addiction and the healing process while elevating the stories of the people around Maddie who are also on their own journeys.
