The Aquabats Super Show is a comedy action adventure show created for family's that is broadcast on the U.S. family network The Hub. The Aquabats have been touring as a band since the 1990's and have developed a complex stage show using stunts and scripted acting portions pitting the band of superheroes against various villains created by the writers. Episodes of The Aquabats Super Show are dominated by a live action story and a short animated serial that tells a story through that continues throughout the season.

The Aquabats are made up of the five members of a rock n roll band; led by Crash McLarson, who can grow up to 50 feet in size and MC Bat Commander the band are an often cowardly, inept group who usually run from danger before facing up to the villain or monster faced each week. Other members of the band include Ricky Fitness, EagleBones FalconHawk and Jimmy the Robot.

In each episode the band face a different villain they must overcome to save the world from either destruction or the taking over of the world; the band play the music heard in each episode and have released albums based on the characters created for the TV and stage show. Each episode also contains a short cartoon sequence based on The Aquabats characters and a villain that reappears each week; each animated section of the show continues the story begun at the start of the season.

Produced by The Magic Store Productions, which is the family production company created by Christian Jacobs, Jason deVillers and Scott Schultz, The Aquabats Super Show uses elements from superhero TV shows of the 1960's and 70's. Thirteen episodes of the 2012 first season of The Aquabats Super Show were produced and shown on The Hub following a protracted series of pilot shows produced from 2005 onwards.
