Rob, Buddy, and Sally are hard at work at the office when they notice a beautiful woman walking outside in the pouring rain. The woman, Laura, is originally hesitant to come inside because she doesn't want to ruin the polished floors, but eventually agrees to come in and wait until the rain stops.
The group soon learns that Laura is a weather girl for a competing network who has just lost her job due to a new, advanced weather computer taking over her role. Feeling bad for her, they offer Laura a job as their new weather girl at their network. Laura accepts and immediately starts preparing for her on-air debut.
However, Laura soon proves to be a bit of a challenge. Despite her beauty and charm, she has no idea about weather patterns or meteorology. This leads to disastrous on-air weather reports, including accidentally calling for snow in the middle of summer.
Rob realizes that he has to intervene and teach Laura about weather patterns and forecasting. He spends long hours with her, going over maps and systems until she finally seems to grasp the concept.
However, on the day of her big debut, Laura once again proves to be a challenge. She gets nervous and flubs her lines, struggling to remember even the most basic information. Rob steps in and helps her out, once again allowing her to achieve success.
In the end, Laura improves greatly and becomes a successful weather girl. Rob and his team learn that talent isn't always about having knowledge in a particular area, sometimes it's simply about passion and drive. Despite her initial setbacks, Laura proves that with the right attitude and work ethic, anyone can achieve success in their chosen field.
