Ep 21. Slippery Slope

Doug and Carrie have been invited to a cabin in the Poconos with some of their friends. Carrie is excited to go, but Doug is less than thrilled since the cabin doesn't have any modern amenities such as a TV or a refrigerator. However, he agrees to go along since Carrie really wants to go.

When they arrive at the cabin, they find that it's more rustic than they had expected. It's a small cabin, but it's cozy and has a beautiful view of the lake. There are a few other cabins nearby, but they're all empty.

Things start to go wrong when Doug and Carrie go out to the dock and Doug slips on a patch of ice. He's not hurt, but he's embarrassed and angry that he fell. He's also worried that he'll fall again and hurt himself. Carrie tries to cheer him up, but he's too upset to listen.

The next day, Doug and Carrie decide to go for a walk in the woods. Doug is still worried about falling, but he tries to put on a brave face. They walk for a while, but then Doug slips and falls again. This time, he twists his ankle and can't walk. Carrie is upset, but she knows they have to get back to the cabin since there's no one else around to help.

Carrie helps Doug back to the cabin, but he's in so much pain that he can't move. She has to take care of him, but she's not very good at it. She gives him some aspirin and puts ice on his ankle, but she doesn't know what else to do. Doug is frustrated and angry that he can't do anything.

The next day, their friends come to visit and find Doug stuck in bed with a twisted ankle. They try to cheer him up, but Doug is in too much pain to enjoy their company. Carrie is upset that her vacation has turned into a disaster, but she tries to make the best of it.

Later that night, Carrie suggests that they play a board game. Doug is reluctant, but he agrees to play. To his surprise, he finds that he's actually having fun. They play several rounds of the game and even start to laugh and joke around. Doug realizes that even though he's not doing what he planned, he's still happy to be with his wife and friends.

The next day, Doug's ankle starts to feel better and they decide to go for a walk again. This time, they take a different path and Doug is more careful. They find a beautiful waterfall and enjoy the scenery. Carrie suggests that they take a picture, but they realize that they forgot to bring a camera. They laugh and joke about their forgetfulness and Doug realizes that he's having a great time.

Later that day, their friends suggest that they go for a swim in the lake. Doug is hesitant, but he decides to try it. To his surprise, he loves it. They all have a great time and Doug realizes that he's been too focused on what he can't do instead of enjoying what he can.

In the end, Doug and Carrie have a great time at the cabin. Even though things didn't go as planned, they still had fun and enjoyed each other's company. Doug realizes that sometimes it's better to go with the flow instead of trying to control everything.
