Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are dropped deep in the Bolivian rain forest armed only with three shabby 4x4s which they bought from the local small ads for a maximum of Â£3500 a piece. What follows is set to be their most extraordinary journey to date as they attempt to drive from the heart of Bolivia to the coast of Chile, encountering local drug lords, the debilitating effects of high altitude and the terrifying sheer drops of the infamous Death Road along the way. But before all that, they've got to escape from the deep, dark centre of the rain forest in what is without doubt the toughest and most unmissable challenge Top Gear has ever faced.

Meanwhile, Richard Hammond is in South Africa to test a bigger, even more rugged alternative to the famous Hummer whilst James May meets up with gold medal winning British Olympian Amy Williams for a wintry test of the latest Mini rally car. Plus, the power crazed BMW 1-series M slithers around the test track in a cloud of tyre smoke and another top celebrity guest takes their place in the Reasonably Priced Car.

Jeremy Clarkson subjects the Skoda Yeti to a remarkably thorough road test and James May makes a rare visit to the test track in the insane Aerial Atom V8. Meanwhile, Richard Hammond celebrates the incredible evolution of the Porsche 911 by racing a modern Turbo Cabriolet against its oldest relative and the power of gravity. Stand up comedian John Bishop is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.

Meanwhile Richard gives the reasonably Priced Car a lovely send off and The Stig has a go in the new Bentley Continental Supersports.
