Watch War Child

This award-winning drama tells the story of hip hop artist Emmanuel Jal. It traces his early beginnings as a child soldier in his native Sudan, participating in that country's bloody civil war, armed with an Ak-47. This documentary uses interviews, historic film footage, and concert clips to show how Jal came to his current mission of building schools and bringing peace to the Sudan where he once fought as a seven-year-old soldier.
