Ep 7. Dangerous Loyalty

After the successful completion of the first season, "60 Days In" is back with their second season. In episode 7, "Dangerous Loyalty," the show follows the journey of seven innocent participants who willingly choose to go behind bars for 60 days to observe and report on the facility's inner workings.

This episode starts with a focus on one particular participant, Jeff, who is disturbed by the fact that the inmates seem to be very loyal to their respective gangs. While talking to other inmates, Jeff realizes that loyalty to the gang is more important than the actual crimes committed, and the consequences of betraying a gang can be severe.

Meanwhile, a new participant, Quintin, enters the jail and is instantly labeled as a potential snitch by the other inmates. He struggles to fit in with the inmates, and when he tries to break away from his assigned gang, he lands in a dangerous situation. His safety, along with the safety of other participants, becomes a major concern for the Sheriff's Department and producers of the show.

As the days pass, the participants witness a disturbing altercation between two gangs. The fight results in a severe injury to one of the inmates, who is now confined to a wheelchair. The participants' safety is further threatened as the gangs start to get aggressive and paranoid, constantly watching each other's every move.

Apart from the gang issue, some participants also face personal problems, like Ashleigh, who is struggling to keep her focus on her mission while dealing with her personal life outside the jail. Maryum, on the other hand, is still trying to understand the complex dynamics of the jail before she can take any meaningful action.

With just a few weeks left before their release, the participants try to gather as much information as possible without putting themselves or others in danger. They use various means of communication, like coded notes and signs, to report their findings to the production team.

In the end, the participants are faced with the daunting task of transitioning back to their normal lives after spending 60 days behind bars. The experiences they have had and the things they have learned about themselves, as well as the reality of life in jail, will stay with them forever. However, the show must go on, and the producers are already planning for the next season of "60 Days In."
