In American Pickers season 1 episode 9, entitled "Bigfoot in Alabama," Mike and Frank head to Alabama in search of big finds. The episode kicks off with the two antique hunters making their way to an old hardware store in Northport, where they hope to get their hands on some vintage signs and hardware.

As they make their way through the aisles of the store, they stumble upon a vintage Coca-Cola sign and a porcelain enamel Gulf Oil sign, both of which they manage to haggle down to a reasonable price. However, the real find comes when they discover a massive collection of old neon signs and vintage gas pumps hidden away behind the store.

Mike and Frank quickly get to work, carefully examining each piece and negotiating with the owner to try and get the best price possible. They manage to score a rare Tennessee Valley Authority electricity sign, a vintage hotel neon sign, and a 1950s era gas pump. However, tensions rise when Frank becomes overly enamored with a giant Sasquatch statue he discovers in the back of the building, causing Mike to worry that he's getting too distracted from their main goal of finding valuable items.

After they finish up at the hardware store, the duo takes a detour to visit a local collector who has a penchant for collecting old Chevrolet cars. Mike and Frank are blown away by his impressive collection, which includes everything from a 1957 Bel Air convertible to a 1961 Impala. The collector also has a few rare items tucked away in his barn, such as an old fruit crate label that catches Frank's eye and a set of vintage hubcaps that Mike just can't resist.

The final stop on their journey brings them to a sprawling estate where they hope to strike it big with an antique dealer who specializes in rare and high-end items. As they browse through his collection, they stumble upon a treasure trove of vintage motorcycles, including a 1930 Indian 101 Scout and a 1953 Triumph TR5. The dealer is willing to part with the bikes, but for a steep price, causing Mike and Frank to haggle relentlessly in an attempt to get the best deal possible.

As the episode draws to a close, the two are packing up their van with their latest hauls when they realize that they've forgotten all about the Bigfoot statue that Frank had become so enamored with earlier in the day. They quickly rush back to the hardware store to claim it, but are disappointed to find that it has already been sold to someone else.

Overall, "Bigfoot in Alabama" is a classic American Pickers episode that showcases the duo's expert negotiating skills and their eye for valuable antiques and collectibles. Along the way, they encounter a cast of colorful characters and uncover some truly impressive finds, making it a must-watch for fans of the show.
