Ep 11. Order Up

In American Restoration season 8 episode 11, titled "Order Up," we follow the team at Rick Dale's Las Vegas restoration shop as they tackle some unique and challenging projects.

First up, a client brings in an antique soda fountain that was once the centerpiece of a local drugstore. The team must not only restore the intricate piping and mechanics of the fountain, but also recreate the missing pieces of its elaborate marble base. With the clock ticking, tensions run high as they rush to complete the job before the client's deadline.

Next, the crew takes on a more whimsical task in the form of a vintage carnival ride. The team must restore every aspect of this classic ride, from the ornate metalwork to the brightly colored paint job. As they work on the piece, they also take time to contemplate the history and cultural significance of these types of carnival attractions.

Finally, a customer brings in a set of brass instruments that have been in his family for generations. The team needs to carefully clean and repair the delicate instruments to ensure they not only look beautiful but also sound as good as they did when they were first made.

Throughout the episode, we see the incredible craftsmanship and attention to detail that goes into each restoration. We also get a glimpse into the personalities and relationships that make up the team at Rick's shop, as they work together to bring these treasured pieces back to life.
