"Animal" is the true story of James Allen, a.k.a. Animal. Allen's son is left to fend for himself on the streets after experiencing the devastating loss of his mother and due to the fact that his father is sent to prison. After adopting a new way of thinking and life behind bars, James Allen tries to keep his nose clean when he is released on probation, both for himself and his son, but his past continues to haunt him.
