Ep 1. Day 1: Me, Maids, and a New Start

Synopsis: Baka & Test: Summon the Beasts, OVA Collection is an anime series that is a spin-off from the original light novel series. The show takes place in a fictional Japanese high school called Fumizuki Academy, where the students are divided into six classes based on their academic performance. The students use magical avatars called "Beasts" to fight battles against each other for higher grades and better classrooms.
Episode Description: The first episode of the OVA series is titled "Day 1: Me, Maids, and a New Start." The episode begins with Akihisa Yoshii, the main character of the series, waking up in his new apartment which he shares with his old friend Yuuji Sakamoto. Akihisa has a horrible dream about his old school and being beaten up by the girls in his class. When he wakes up, he realizes that it is his first day at Fumizuki Academy, and he has to start from scratch.
As Akihisa prepares to leave his apartment, he meets two maids, who are also his new neighbors, and they both offer to help him with anything he needs. However, Akihisa declines their offer, as he doesn't want to give off a bad impression by showing that he cannot take care of himself. Akihisa is about to leave when one of the maids drops a box full of cookies, and Akihisa helps her pick them up. The maid thanks him, and Akihisa makes a new friend.
Akihisa arrives at Fumizuki Academy, and he is told that he will be starting in Class F, the lowest-performing class in the school. Akihisa is not bothered by this, as he knows that he can use his Beast to climb to the top, just like he did in his old school. However, he soon learns that the students in Class F have no access to the summoning system, which means that they cannot use their Beasts for battles.
Akihisa tries to convince the class to join forces and study together to improve their academic performance, but his plan backfires when the class splits into two groups: the ones who want to study and the ones who don't. Meanwhile, Akihisa decides to take a break from studying and goes to the rooftop, where he meets the maids from earlier. The maids offer to make him lunch, and Akihisa accepts their offer.
While Akihisa is eating his lunch, he is approached by an attractive girl named Shouko Kirishima. Shouko is Yuuji's ex-girlfriend, and she is also a member of Class A, the highest-performing class in the school. Shouko reveals that she is interested in Akihisa, and she wants to make him her 'personal pet'. Akihisa is not interested in this, and he insults Shouko, which leads to her challenging Akihisa to a "special" test of strength.
The episode ends with Akihisa and Shouko getting into a fight, which is watched by all the students and teachers in the school. Akihisa manages to hold his own against Shouko, and he even surprises her with his strength. However, the fight is interrupted by the principal, who scolds both of them for causing a disturbance.
Overall, "Day 1: Me, Maids, and a New Start" is a fun and entertaining episode that sets up the premise of the show.
