Vincent, who is dealing with the consequences of his past actions and his continuing struggles with his beastly nature, is hesitant to believe that Catherine truly forgives him.

Meanwhile, Catherine is also dealing with the aftermath of her mother's death, and starts investigating the mystery surrounding her mother's relationship with the enigmatic billionaire Gabriel Lowen (Sendhil Ramamurthy), who plays a major role in the episode. As Catherine delves deeper into her investigation, she must navigate Gabriel's complex web of lies and find out the truth about her mother's death.

In addition to Catherine and Vincent's storyline, the episode also features subplots involving several supporting characters.
