Ep 7. The Witches Are Out

Samantha is tired of pretending to be a regular suburban housewife and decides to throw a Halloween party for her witchy friends. Darrin is against the idea, fearing that the neighbors will be scared and that the party will expose their true identities. Sam assures Darrin that the party is strictly for witches and warlocks only, and that she will make sure that none of the guests will use their powers outside of the house.

Despite Darrin's reluctance, Sam goes ahead with the party preparations. She conjures up a carriage and horses out of thin air to transport her guests to the party, which leaves Darrin horrified at the thought of their nosy neighbors witnessing the supernatural display. Sam insists that her friends can be trusted and that they will stay out of sight.

The party guests include Endora, Samantha's mother, who is very critical of her daughter's mortal husband. Sam's eccentric Aunt Clara is also in attendance, along with Dr. Bombay, a warlock who has a crush on Samantha. Another guest is Esmeralda, a witch who has lost her powers and seeks help from Samantha.

As the party gets underway, Sam's guests start showing their supernatural abilities. Endora turns Darrin's hair green, and Dr. Bombay casts a spell that makes a statue of a dog come to life. Esmeralda tries to cast spells but fails due to her lack of powers. Sam tries to cheer her up by telling her that she can still find happiness without magic.

Things get out of hand when a group of trick-or-treaters knock on the door and interrupt the party. Sam's guests hide, but Esmeralda can't resist casting a spell that causes their costumes to come to life and turn into real monsters. Chaos ensues as the monsters run amok in the house, scaring the children.

Darrin is furious with Sam for allowing the party to get out of control and orders everyone to leave. As Sam's guests depart, a woman dressed as a witch, who had been spying on the party, confronts Darrin and accuses him of being a warlock. Darrin denies the accusation, but the woman insists that she saw him flying on a broomstick the previous night.

The woman leaves, leaving Darrin worried that their secret is now exposed. Sam tries to reassure him and says that the woman is just a kook. They go to bed, but Darrin is woken up by a noise outside. When he looks out the window, he sees a group of witches on broomsticks flying towards their house. He wakes up Sam, and they watch in horror as the witches land on their property and start chanting.

The next morning, Sam and Darrin try to downplay the incident, but their neighbors are now suspicious. The party guests have all left, leaving a mess behind. Darrin is angry with Sam and says that he can't live like this anymore. Sam is hurt by his words and reminds him that she gave up her powers for him.

The episode ends with Samantha outside, crying over Darrin's rejection. Endora appears and comforts her daughter, telling her that mortals can never understand witches and that she should embrace her true nature. Samantha replies that being with Darrin is worth giving up her powers, but Endora tells her to reconsider. The episode ends with Samantha looking conflicted as the screen fades to black.
