Ichigo, Rukia, and Renji face off against the three mod-souls created by Szayelaporro. However, the mod-souls have a unique ability that allows them to predict their opponents' moves. Ichigo quickly becomes frustrated and decides to cut off the mod-souls' sensory perception instead of trying to predict their moves.

Meanwhile, Uryu and Mayuri continue their battle against Szayelaporro. Mayuri reveals his new invention, the "Ashisogi Jizo," a sword that has poisoned Uryu and can release a deadly gas that prevents Szayelaporro from regenerating. Using his new sword, Mayuri gains the upper hand in the battle.

Back with the mod-souls, it becomes evident that their ability to predict their opponents' moves comes at a cost. They are unable to attack unless they can predict their opponent's move, making them defenseless against unorthodox attacks.

As the battles continue, both parties devise new strategies to overcome their opponents. Uryu and Mayuri successfully trap Szayelaporro, but he refuses to give up and uses his ability to absorb the mod-souls to become stronger.

Meanwhile, Ichigo, Rukia, and Renji finally defeat the mod-souls with a combined effort and cut off Szayelaporro's communication with his army. However, their victory is short-lived as they realize Szayelaporro has become even stronger and is heading towards them.

The episode ends with Uryu and Mayuri facing off against a powerful Szayelaporro, while Ichigo, Rukia, and Renji prepare for a daunting battle ahead.
