Blue Dragon Season 1 Episode 24 Akuma no Tsuigeki

In Blue Dragon season 1 episode 24, titled "Akuma no Tsuigeki," the gang finally arrives at the castle where they believe Nene is hiding. However, they soon discover that it is heavily guarded by demon soldiers and traps. Shu, Jiro, Kluke and Marumaro are forced to use their skills to sneak past the guards and traps.

Meanwhile, Zola and Deathroy confront General Logi and his army at their headquarters. They are able to defeat Logi in a battle, but a mysterious figure appears and rescues him before they can capture him.

Back at the castle, Shu and the gang encounter an old man who offers to help them navigate through the castle. They quickly learn that he is actually the demon king, who had been masquerading as the old man to test the group's strength. He challenges Shu to a battle, but Shu refuses because he does not want to fight someone who is not truly evil. The demon king is impressed by Shu's compassion and decides to give them a map of the castle instead.

With the map, the group is able to navigate through the castle and find Nene, who is attempting to awaken the power of a mysterious "green dragon." Shu is able to confront Nene, but their battle is quickly interrupted by the appearance of the mysterious figure who saved General Logi earlier. The figure reveals himself to be none other than Zola's former partner, Gilliam.

Gilliam challenges Shu to a one-on-one battle, saying that he wants to determine if Shu is truly the legendary "blue dragon." Despite the odds, Shu is able to emerge victorious, and Gilliam reveals that he had been testing Shu just as the demon king had been testing him.

As the episode ends, Nene is shown to be even more determined to awaken the power of the green dragon, setting the stage for the exciting conclusion of the season.
