Ep 20. Mask

Despite their best efforts, the ExWires are unable to stop the Impure King from fully manifesting. Rin is desperate to find a way to defeat the demon, but his demonic powers have been sealed by the Vatican. Meanwhile, Izumo has received a message from her mother, who is a powerful exorcist. She warns Izumo that the Impure King's power is spreading rapidly and that they need to find the "Awakened Twin" in order to defeat it.

The ExWires set out to find the Awakened Twin, but they are confronted by the masked exorcist Saburota Todo. He has been sent by the True Cross Order to retrieve the Twin himself, as he believes that the ExWires are too inexperienced to handle such a task. Rin is furious and challenges Todo to a fight, but he ultimately loses due to his lack of powers.

As the ExWires continue their search, they come across a girl named Kamiki who is being attacked by a demon. Izumo recognizes her as her childhood friend and decides to help her. They eventually find the Twin, who is revealed to be a powerful demon named Kinzo Shima. However, Kinzo is not interested in helping the exorcists and decides to attack them instead.

During the battle, Kamiki is gravely injured and the ExWires are forced to retreat. Rin is devastated by their failure and feels guilty for being unable to use his full powers to help his friends. He visits Shura, who encourages Rin to find a way to break the seal on his powers. Rin decides to confront Mephisto about the seal, but he is shocked to discover that Mephisto had a hand in sealing his powers in the first place.

Rin confronts Mephisto, who explains that he sealed Rin's powers as a precautionary measure due to his unstable nature. However, Mephisto agrees to release the seal in order to allow Rin to fight the Impure King. Rin is overjoyed and sets out to meet up with his friends once again.

Meanwhile, the Impure King's power continues to spread throughout Kyoto and threatens to consume the entire city. Todo and his team are tasked with containing the demon, but they are struggling to hold it back. Just as it seems that they are about to lose the battle, the ExWires arrive, with Rin finally able to use his full powers.

Together, Rin and his friends manage to defeat the Impure King and save Kyoto from destruction. They are hailed as heroes by the people of Kyoto and the True Cross Order, but Rin knows that there will always be more demons to fight. As he looks out over the city, he swears to continue fighting as an exorcist, even if it means going against the orders of the Vatican.
