Hope and Faith were born conjoined twins on May 8,2014. The twins had diprosopus, an unusual disease in which newborns have one head, two faces and brains. Their single bodies and limbs are normal. Hope and Faith had their own personalities. Hope was qiet and slept much of the time, but Faith cried a lot. She also liked sucking on her thumb and blowing bubbles.
Despite the reality that diprosopus twins die a short time after birth, the girls' parents wanted to continue with the pregnancy. The couple received criticism from others, to terminate the pregnancy, after nearly five months.
