Ep 9. Meatloaded Makeovers

In Burgers, Brew & 'Que season 6 episode 9, titled "Meatloaded Makeovers," host Michael Symon travels to Austin, Texas, to visit a restaurant that specializes in revamping classic dishes with a meaty twist. At Shuffle 512, Chef Andre Molina takes Michael on a culinary journey, starting with his famous stuffed jalapeño poppers filled with brisket and cream cheese. Next up, they indulge in a blackened chicken sandwich with a delicious smoked gouda sauce and bacon jam, and Michael can't resist trying the meatloaf-loaded fries.

The meat-loaded theme continues as Michael heads to Black's Barbecue, where he meets pitmaster Kent Black and tries their renowned beef ribs, which have been slow-cooked for over 12 hours. Kent also reveals his secret to making juicy and flavorful brisket, and shows Michael how to make his famous homemade sausage. Michael can't resist sampling the ribs and sausage, which are accompanied by traditional sides of potato salad and coleslaw.

Moving on to the beer portion of the show, Michael travels to Dripping Springs to visit Family Business Beer Co., a brewery owned by former Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles and Danneel Harris. There, he samples some of their unique small-batch brews, including a peanut butter and jelly ale and a cherry stout. Michael also gets a behind-the-scenes look at the brewing process and learns about the inspiration behind their beer names.

The episode wraps up with Michael returning to Shuffle 512 for a final indulgence - a massive BBQ sandwich piled high with brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. Chef Andre tops it off with his homemade slaw and a drizzle of BBQ sauce, and Michael can barely contain his excitement as he digs in.
