Ep 12. Dial M for Mayor

Dempsey initially denies any involvement in the murder, but his alibi falls apart when Castle and Beckett find that the rental car he claimed to have been driving at the time of the murder was actually being driven by someone else.

The detectives eventually track down the person driving Dempsey's rental car at the time of the murder and learn that he was part of a conspiracy to smear Silver's reputation in order to boost the mayor's chances of re-election. The murder was just a part of their plan to frame Silver and any connections he might have had to the call girl's death.

As events come to a head, Castle and Beckett are forced to confront the corrupt political machine that seemed to be pulling all the strings behind the scenes. They are determined to bring those responsible to justice, but quickly realize that doing so will require more than just hard evidence and a strong case. The two detectives have to navigate their way through the complicated and delicate political landscape of New York City if they want to come out ahead and make sure justice is served.

Filled with plot twists and turns, Castle season 4 episode 12 is a thrilling episode that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats from start to finish. As always, the chemistry between the two lead characters, Castle and Beckett, remains strong and adds an extra layer of intrigue to the already gripping storyline.
